Are you sick of me luring you in with pretty pictures only to shove my personal political views down your throat?
I hope not because I'm not done yet.
You know how much I love my OBAMA. I believe in my heart that he isn't corrupt. I believe he is intelligent, wise, kind, calm, generous: a regular Buddha. I believe that he will do what he says he will do, and I believe he alone will return our country to sanity.
But see, I'm also open minded (well... kinda) I had no personal objections to McCain. I did not want him to be President, but I did not find him to be an objectionable human being. But now that VP of his has my blood heated to a slow boil.
I am NOT understanding how a meanie with so little to offer and all kinds of shady behaviors can have half the country tout her virtues. I am choking on the injustices, the double standards, the hypocrisy.
This morning, a reader, blogger and all around fascinating person who prefers to remain anonymous sent me this link. The essay by Tim Wise in the Red Room is called: This Is Your Nation On White Privilege.
This is a way to look at the situation from a different perspective. I'm understand this better now. And I hate what I'm understanding.
