Thanksgiving was.. wow.. hectic. The big dinner was at my house, with yours truly at the stove.
But mostly it was a week of sending applications to colleges with a Nov. 30 deadlines, with yours truly as Data Entry Clerk and Master Organizer and the principal interested, my son, mostly preoccupied with a concert he was performing in and rehearsing for. And... well then it was yours truly switching hat from mommynatrix holding a whip to mommytherapist going 'poor little bunny i understand your pain. Which i don't. I understand MY pain much better than his.
And now i'm told it's Hannukah in a few days? There must be a of Jewish cosmic joke i'm the butt of.
On the brights side, I am resolute I will decorate the house for winter. I found a few ideas here and there, and if Hannukah doesn't kill me I think i'm up for doing Christmas too this year. With maybe... perhaps, a tree. I want to be happy rather than cranky is the reality. I want to drop the drama and relax. But let's not jinks it by talking about it.

Ah, good luck with everything! I'm sure you can come up with a way to decorate for the holidays in your own way with tons of bright colors and twinkle lights. Perhaps this is the year you fall in love with the holidays? ;)

my tree will be grapevines, long and twisting with red leaves, grape clusters dangling for ornaments, tiny white lights carefully wrought, well, that is my vision anyway. It will require cooperation! I hear you, love your writing, your occasional rants...i wrote a 'much too long' comment, i assume, as typepad said it won't accept 'my data' NO MATTER WHAT! the indignities....
i too hate the holidays and yet, why do i always dream of that light that glows behind that next midnight....oxxo

Twinkle lights are always a good start. They always relax me and then I can add more if I want. So my advise (which I know you didn't ask for) "one step at a time with the decorating thing or you may lose it."
I too would love to see some pictures. Karin
