I have an itch to get out of here. It has something to do with the facts that fires are raging all around, in Malibu, San Diego, Lake Arrorwhead …. So much so that the skies have a doomsday look to them and getting out of the house means inhaling the fumes of burned chaparral (and 1700 or so homes) But I’m not big on hotels, they are so impersonal, and you don’t get to decorate your room.
Maybe the solution is to be on wheels, a roulotte maybe, or even something larger in scope such as this moveable pod or traveling module from the Swiss company Everland.

This I discovered in a French blog full of discoveries and whimsy J’ai flané pour vous. (Which means, essentially, ‘I took a stroll for you,’) The blogger says she doesn’t understand English; so don’t feel bad if you don’t understand French. Just look at the great pictures.
Part traveling, part cocooning and part art statement (Dadaism I think). I was attracted by the colors of hotel Everland, but the view(s) isn’t bad either. Check out Hotel Everland’s photos here and even the Everland Webcam with, for a little while, breathtaking views of the Eiffel tower.
My favorite was the virtual tour. Enjoy!

I was amazed when I saw this blog. Its not everyday that you get to see a hotel as beautiful as this one.

Been a frequent guest there since I started working. I can't get enough of this hotel because I feel relaxed when I am there.

Great architectural design. I thought I'd visit this place again together with my wife and kids this time. It has been a pleasure to have myself visit this place.
